size of base stud enclosure

What can be done to create the suggested 1/8 in gap if the stud enclosure measures exactly 60 in wide.  I have not as yet removed the existing tub and will not be able to get a precise measurement until then. The drywall to drywall measurement is 59 1/2 in.  If the drywall is 5/8 in that should leave the desired gap.

Edward,

If your framed opening is 60" wide then the shower pan would measure 59 3/4" allowing proper clearances. GraniCast shower pans can be manufactured to any size you need with the drain location you desire. So even if you have a 60 1/4" framed opening we would have a 60" shower pan manufactured.

Cheers!
